Fantastic new bar near Times Square. Drinks are well priced ($5 Sam Adams, $10 aperol spritz, $9 well drinks), you can bring outside food in, and there are TVs if you want to watch sports. The bartenders are super friendly and are fun to talk to for food recs around the city.

One of the nicest local small bars you can find. The owner is simply one of the nicest and genuine people you could meet. Stop by for a great pour of your favorite libation .

Outstanding bartenders, extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff, great location in the heart of Hells kitchen. The prices are very reasonable and the bar is very clean, best in the city.

Theory is a great cozy bar! Arun (bartender) is such a great guy, who definitely knows how to create fun and friendly atmosphere! Drinks are strong and very affordable. 10/10. Def will stop by again when in the area.

I visited here a few weeks ago as it was close to my hotel and was so glad I did. Both the staff and the venue were very welcoming and the barman Uylessys is a true asset to the place. I would definitely go back if I were to visit New York again.

I don’t understand why this place wasn’t packed. Best bar experience in NYC. Been all around. Ulysses is a great bartender and has a great personality and makes even better cocktails! A++

My wife and I were recently visiting from Miami and walking back to our hotel from Times Square / Theater District we heard really cool music coming out of this bar. We went in and the people, vibe, decor was super cool. The bartender was generous with our Jameson Black Barrel drinks and even made us Manhattans as a one for the road! Great NYC bar experience.

We stumbled across this bar and instantly fell in love. The drinks were cold, the bartender/owner was fantastic, and the atmosphere was perfect for an after work drink. We will be back!

Only good in theory. When we walked in, there were a handful of people at the bar. The bouncer gave us (a group of 5) two tables and we pushed them together. All the people at the bar left. We are now the only ones in the bar. We were about to order, when the bartender comes over and tells us we can’t have two tables. He said there’s 4 of us and we should only have 1 table? I pointed out that there’s 5 of us. He snapped that it’s fine for now, but it will be busy later. Again, there is NO ONE ELSE in the bar except for us. We decided to leave, since he was so concerned there wouldn’t be enough space for his imaginary customers.

The bartender definitely knew his stuff! He was very knowledgeable about drinks as well as where to go in New York City. I would highly recommend this bar! We went to this bar twice during our entire trip as their hospitality is fantastic and they are very kind! Highly recommend this place!!!

Visited twice during our stay in NYC. We were instantly made to feel welcomed by the owner and service was brilliant throughout. Reasonably priced drinks and great atmosphere - would highly recommend!

Great little spot to get away from the NYC crowds while visiting from Toronto. Like the other reviews say, the bartenders we met made the whole experience. Never got their names but the long haired guy from Nepal and the guy from Brooklyn! Hard to find friendly service like that. 10/10

Our favorite stop in the city by far. A place with knowledgeable and efficient staff who went above and beyond for us. They truly made my friends and I feel at ease. If you're looking for a down to earth experience, this is the place.

What a great find! We found this on our way up from Javtis. A great place to stop, recap the day, talk with and meet new friends. Great, super-friendly bartender and loved the drinks as well as drink prices. No food yet, but still 5 stars as they are "bring in" friendly. Definitely stopping in again.

Absolutely loved this bar! The ambience is super cute, creating a perfect setting to relax and enjoy the night. The service was outstanding—our bartender was incredibly nice and made us feel right at home. Drinks came out quickly, and the music was spot on, adding to the overall good vibe. Amazing experience all around—definitely a must-visit!

Awesome dive bar atmosphere with fair prices. Owner and bartender Ulysses is incredibly friendly and remembered us when we returned for a second time during our trip.

Ulysses is an awesome host! It is so nice to have someone welcome you and give you help to navigate your visit to New York. A fun, friendly and genuine establishment with great customers too. Who says New Yorkers are not friendly? This is a must stop!
