My wife and I have become regulars here after stumbling across this hidden gem on a random Sunday. The free live jazz from 7-10pm on Sundays is phenomenal. As a saxophonist, I developed a rapport with the band leader, a fellow sax player, who is an excellent musician, Daniel Fernandez. The staff is also very friendly and professional. My wife and I stuck up with one of the servers, Kristen, and she is a lonely person and always gives us great service. The cocktails are unique and delicious. My go to is The Guillotine, which has a sweet smoky banana flavor that's so satisfying. I can't say enough good things about this hidden gem. Try it out for yourself and you won't regret it!

We decided to check it out after seeing some great reviews about happy hour here on Reddit. Upon entering the lavish looking establishment, the drinks were cheap and the food was delicious. We ended up with oysters and soft pretzels (probably the best we've had to date.) The girl on staff was on top of our orders and considerate of space, so that we didn't feel rushed or bothered. It was quiet when we went for happy hour during the week, but it is sure to be loud during the weekends. The location looks bougie with musical hits playing in the background.

Heads up, this place closes earlier than their posted hours based on the number of customers they have. They will close earlier if they see it's a slow night. I was not happy about this. Normally I enjoy this place, their cocktails, and atmosphere. We walked in at 11 pm on Sunday and chose this spot since google said it closes at 1 am. Well, we were told at 11:58 pm by the bartender that they're closing at midnight because there wasnt many customers tonight and it's the holidays. I wish we were told when we walked in that The Last Word can flippantly close earlier based on the number of customers present. It really killed the mood and we had ordered extra drinks we could not finish since we didn't know Last Word was closing midnight instead of 1 am. Had we known that they were closing at midnight we would not have ordered extra drinks or even sat down for drinks. Probably would have gone to The Ditty instead.

My cousin had her 40th Birthday here and it was amazing. The manager Glen and his staff were top notch. We definitely kept the bartenders busy. The atmosphere is cute sitting was booths and also high tables & chairs. I would highly recommend this place for a private function. Thanks again to Glen and his amazing team.

Great spot for drinks. After the reddit recommendation, we came here on a Friday night. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The oysters were amazing and great choice of cocktails. I’d say it’s more of a date night kind of speak easy. Lights are a bit too bright, and seating areas need to be closer. Otherwise great boutique setup and overall experience.

Second time at this place, and it was as good as last time. Nice variety of delicious cocktails. we had the pretzel, and it came warm and tasted fresh, Service was great.

07/24/24 9:15pm I walked into the bar , informed the waitress that I’d like to sit outside, she nodded and said OK I’ll be there with you in a minute. By 9:45pm , still no one came out to get my order at all —- then I left Sadly , the place seems like a nice spot , drink seems to be good but I don’t have a chance to try since the waitress is too stupid or very little memory to come out and help me , no wonder she could be a side chick with that look she has

I recently visited The Last Word with my family, and unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. Our waiter Michael was extremely rude from the moment we arrived, making the entire outing uncomfortable for everyone, especially my sister, who was visiting us. Not only was there no effort to provide good service, but the waiter screamed at us and also never apologized for his behavior, leaving us feeling unwelcome. It's disappointing to have such poor customer service ruin what should have been a pleasant evening. I expected much better and won't be returning anytime soon. I hope management takes steps to ensure their staff treat customers with respect in the future.
