Amazing spot! The Asian-inspired cocktails were unique and packed with flavor. Beautiful presentation, great ambiance, and friendly staff. Perfect place for a memorable drink experience! Would recommend Painted Paradise, Street Scene, Fever, and Cheek to Cheek.

Cocktail bar with Japanese-inspired concoctions and dishes. They do not take reservations, so I would recommend coming early to avoid a long wait. We arrived around 6:45pm on a Saturday and waited for 30 minutes. The space is beautifully furnished with thoughtful paintings. The drinks are good - the ones that we’ve tried had a clean palate. The food was okay but feels overpriced. The server was helpful in pointing us to the gluten free items. Overall it was an enjoyable, but it is not worth waiting a super long time for and the price to value ratio is med.

The drinks here were absolutely delightful. The bartenders were very efficient, quickly crafting my tasty beverages. I found it fascinating to watch them work, so I suggest sitting at the bar for an entertaining experience. I especially enjoyed the unique, hidden bar atmosphere. My chosen drinks, "Raisin the Roof" and "Fool Me Once," were excellent, and overall, I had a fantastic time.

I remember the drinks at the old Angel’s Share being better . We ordered 12 drinks. 2 were excellent (the shochu ones - one had panda milk, the other had plum salt and shiso leaf). 1 was very good (smoke). 3 were bad and couldn’t be finished . The rest were mediocre which is unacceptable in an establishment charging $25 per drink. There’s only one toilet in the bar and always a line ; otherwise no complaints about the venue, which is very elegant and in a new , more classy location in townhouse in west village.

Fantastic experience here! The drinks are absolutely delicious. I had the Cheek to Cheek, which tasted like berry ice cream. I also got the curry powder drink. Very interesting taste, as they used Japanese curry powder on top. I also got the squid. The sauce was incredible. It was like a milder wasabi with mayo mixed together. Overall atmosphere of this space was moody and inviting. I highly recommend going here if you’re in the area.

This was an exceptional dining experience! The beverages were truly exquisite. I particularly enjoyed the Curry Powder concoction – a unique and intriguing flavor profile achieved by using Japanese curry powder as a garnish. I also savored the squid dish. The overall ambiance of this establishment was both atmospheric and welcoming. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit if you find yourself in the vicinity.

Atmosphere 7/10 Considering the theme of “angels”, i would have expected the bar to be located on higher floors, and not in a basement. Just doesn’t match. Overall cozy atmosphere and good volume of music, allowing a conversation . The painting on the wall is definitely not for everyone’s taste. Even disregarding any religious views on that, I just don’t think it’s pretty design Drinks 8/10 The cocktails were all delicious - street car, downtime and fever. Recommend to try the street car. Presentation was nice and creative. Menu looks like a cheap piece of paper, unfortunately. No coasters, only black napkins. Service 8/10 Table service - drinks were served quick. Water is served too and refilled by attentive staff. Slightly above average pricing. No reservations possible - prepare to wait >30min outside to get seated. Maximum party size of 4 This one is #43 North America’s Best Bar 2024. Like many other bars on the 2024 list, I think this one is ranked a bit too high.

This is my favorite cocktail place in NYC. You have to wait in line, BUT it’s worth it. Pro tip: go early and they only take up to party of 4 max ( last I checked). I love the soju cocktail, I’ve been to this place 8 times since it reopened, and I’ve taken all my friends there and if you are visiting New York, put it on your list. They used to be in upper Manhattan earlier but now they are in lower east side. It’s also kind of a speakeasy, but you’ll mostly see people in a queue outside, if you dine, it’s the basement of a residential building, 2nd one from the corner. YW!

The whole place's an art. The decoration, the display and the drinks all goes harmoniously with its name and gives a mysterious, intriguing vibe Cocktails are def one of the best I've had in the city. Highly recommend: 1. Painted paradise - refreshing honey dew with a little milky taste, been trying to find something similar but nothing comes close to this one; 2. Street scene - very unique matcha foam on sweet sour fruity undertone; 3. Fever - salty cheese foam that balances perfectly with sweet strawberry undertone Food was ok with nothing stood out (good or bad

I really liked the drinks here. They were so tasty and the bartenders are so fast. I recommend sitting at the bar and watching them make the drinks because it is very interesting to see. They do a great job. I also loved the speakeasy vibes. I had a great time. I had the raisin the roof and fool me once

The Painted Paradise is just perfect. Loved the use of pandan. A close second is definitely the Midnight Round (?) with the oolong tea and blue cheese. This spot definitely comes across as a very well-oiled place that can deliver excellent drinks.

Ngl this place is way overhyped and doesn’t have the wow factor that other speakeasy’s have. Nevertheless, even if we were disappointed ChatGPT told me to get the « smoke gets in your eyes » and it was actually really good (whiskey based).
